Hello Paulo, What I want to do is access my squid instance running on port 3128 with the same server my opensshd to use it as a proxy server. Now I can accomplish this using something like this on command line; ssh -L 3128:localhost:3128 -fN username@xxxxxxxxxx This way ssh is connecting my browser(local) and my squid proxy server(remote) using a secure tunnel. What I want to do is exactly the same without running any system commands or ssh client, so that I will be able to diagnose any problems with the tunneling or connection. Using libssh, I was able to send requests to squid over a channel, but somehow firefox unable to understand the answer(encoding error it says). Am I doing wrong something during the data transmission? How can I control the data access between these 2? Regards On 08.May.2012, at 18:18, Paulo R.
