Special files

sftp_attributes_struct.type can sometimes be SPECIAL or UNKNOWN.

I'm assuming that "SPECIAL" means that it could be, or -is-, a device. How
can I get the device major/minor numbers?


Does anyone know what other types of files SPECIAL may represent?
