Aand since most lists don't do that doing so only in Gmane is somewhat pointless. This is the other, related problem: the changes look OK, but patch number 1 CC's myself and contains a "From:" line in the commit message that shouldn't be there -- this happened because when I saved the posts with my original patches and re-applied them with `git am', the obfuscated email addresses were used in the new commits and git later saw it as being different from what I have set in my git config.
