I'm the lead engineer for Exiv2 which is built daily on 16 platform including MinGW/32. Here are our build notes: http://clanmills.com/exiv2/mingw.shtml I don't recall building libssh for MinGW, however I don't recall any special tricks required to build it for Linux or Cygwin. Do you want a 32 or 64 bit static build? It's 8:30 in England. I'll look at this after breakfast and can talk on Skype if you wish 'clanmills'.
