Detecting Disconnects

Hi,


Has anyone had luck with detecting disconnects? After generating an ssh 
session, I would like to be able to detect if that session has 
disconnected from the network. I tried using ssh_is_connected and 
ssh_get_status but both of those don't seem to return anything different.
