Issue banner, IP of clients

Hello everyone,

I have a couple hopefully quick questions that I've been scratching my head on.

A) I haven't been able to find a way to send an "issue banner" to a client when acting as a server. Is there a function or a variable to set somewhere?

B) I can retrieve the client IP from the socket fd. Is there another API-like place this IP is stored that I can use for logging/blacklisting/etc?
