IPV6 address support in libssh

Hi,
         Iam using libssh 0.5.3 . Iam trying to connect to the machine using ipv6 address. ssh_connect function call  is failing. when i tried to print ssh_get_error , iam getting  "Couldn't apply options" sometimes and "Socket error: Transport endpoint is not connected" sometimes .  Is Ipv6 address supported in libssh. Please help me(urgent).
