State of X.509 support?

Hey folks,

I noticed that the "cmake/Modules/FindGSSAPI.cmake" file in the libssh code
base mentions hx509, which is Heimdal x509, but I wasn't able to find any
references to X.509 anywhere else in the code (I was thinking that I should
be able to find something in one of the C files, if it is supported,
right?).

I see that someone wanted to add X.509 support, and even wanted to add an
example with it, here:

I am unable to locate this code though -- perhaps it was never added? Any
pointers or places to start looking would be extremely welcome!
